Nashville-based producer, singer, songwriter, composer and recording artist Justine Blazer has been taking the musical world by storm – earning seven #1 singles on various independent charts. Her unique style of edgy country/pop/rock is infused with a hint of Detroit soul and modern vibes.

The film Hashtag Blessed features Blazer’s single “Love Me Some Jolly.” Two more of her holiday songs (both from her JOLLY! album) have also been recently featured, Makin’ Some Magic in A Christmas to Treasure and “Dancin’ Through December” played on an episode of The Young and the Restless.

What traditions do you most fondly recall from your childhood?

My dad was a professional Santa.  He did that for almost 20 years, pretty music my entire childhood.  I used to go with him for his parties. I sang Christmas carols.  It was so much fun and such fond memories.

What was your favorite holiday family activity?

We would go every year to Pittsburgh to see my grandma and family.   It was a tradition we did for many years.  Great memories.

Is there a dish you always associate with Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

My mom would make the best candied yams!

What is your most magical Christmas memory?

My parents made Christmas very extravagant and special for my sister and I. They went all out.  They would have the ‘Elves’ presents and leave surprise gifts on the front porch or in random places to surprise us.  It was so fun!

Which songs would be the top five on your holiday playlist?

“The Christmas Song” by Nat King Cole

“Rocking Around the Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee

“Run Run Rudolph” by Chuck Berry

“Last Christmas” by Wham

A Holly Jolly Christmas” Anything by Burl Ives!
